Welcome to the magical world of velamma. Velamma is a wacky, slightly perverted, mischievous and rotund female vigilante. Her sidekick is a cat named “Naughty” who often gets her in trouble even when he’s trying to help! The show predominantly revolves around problem solving, combating crimes and supernatural disturbances all in the city of Pondicherry.
Velamma is the main protagonist of the series. A middle age woman with an average figure, she has a heart of gold and is always willing to help out anyone in need. She was driven to become a vigilante/superhero after her husband drowned at sea when she was young. So driven by revenge, she trained herself in martial arts and hoping that one day she’d be able to bring her husband’s killer to justice.
Naughty is Velamma’s sidekick. He’s not very good at fighting crime, but has the ability to transform at will into various objects.
The minx of the series. She’s a very popular actress who seems to have a lot of influence in the film industry. She has a somewhat shady past, being involved with slum lords and drug dealers. But she is someone you can trust, even though she’s not always honest about her involvement in certain situations.
Head of the crime syndicate which controls almost all illegal activities in Pondicherry. By his side is his son – Pandu – who’s always causing him problems. Kalivarman is very ruthless and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
Pandu is the son of the criminal don Kalivarman. He’s a lot more cunning than his father and will use any means necessary to get what he wants – even if it means lying, cheating and manipulating everyone around him.
